Store Supervisor (Supermarket) [Philippines]


 

Job Description

The Store Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Best Value Factory Food Outlet, Inc. store and the implementation of processes, guidelines, and policies. Responsible for coaching, resolving issues, and serving as a link between staff and upper management.

Best Value Factory Food Outlet, Inc. is part of the D&L Group of Companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orients, monitors, disciplines and provides direction to store staff; maintains timesheets and attendance records and schedules shifts / day-offs.
  • Opens and closes the stores by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, and unlocking and securing the store.
  • Handles cash and receipts for the sale of merchandise; such as counting the float, balancing cash, providing change fund, sorting and securing cash, and handing over to Accounting.
  • Administers, safeguard, and reconcile department Petty Cash Fund (PCF).
  • Ensures documentation of all store transactions (i.e. gate pass, acknowledgment receipt etc.)
  • Maintains store inventory, through accurate count, shelves are adequately stocked and deliveries to customers are on time.
  • Ensures promotions are accurate including those required for periodic sale events.
  • Authorizes return and replacement.
  • Addresses customer complaints and resolves issues.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and resolves issues.
  • Monitors store equipment and ensure preventive maintenance
  • Monitors store permit renewals and act as Pollution Control Officer (PCO)

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or any relevant course
  • Working experience in the grocery, supermarket or related field is an advantage.
  • With Customer Service Skills
  • Attention to details
  • Must have the knowledge and ability to train people
  • Knowledgeable in-store operations
  • Must have a good communication skills
  • With knowledge in Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping.

Requirements:

  • With 2-4 years of experience in Store Operations, Sales & Marketing, or other related work
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication Arts, or any related business course
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel (intermediate level an advantage)
  • Amenable for a 6-day workweek
  • Willing to work in Calle Industria, Bagumbayan, Quezon City

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Php20,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
