Our exciting opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Product Engineer within our Product Line team in the Parts & Services Division. The Division drives the aftermarket business keeping customers’ fleet on track with services, solutions, and parts.

As the Product Engineer you will develop and execute technical proposals for custom engineering work to Sandvik equipment to align with equipment specifications and design.

The position is full-time, permanent and based either in Turku or Tampere, Finland. Product Engineer reports to Engineering Support Manager, Parts & Services.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design solutions for assigned Order Based Engineering orders and retrofit kits by selecting the best technical solution that meets customer requirements.

  • Perform feasibility and pre-study analysis for technical offers requested by Parts & Services Product Line Portfolios. With the help of analysis provide technical solution and estimated design hours needed to complete the work.

  • Oversee design work performed by internal resources and external suppliers.

  • Support Parts & Services Product Line Portfolios technical solution development.

  • Follow up on technical issues with kit production at PU Manufacturing.

  • Support Sales Areas for retrofit kit assembly; and technical and quality issues.

Your background

  • You have a degree (MSc / BSc) preferably within the area of technical studies.

  • You have several years of experience with for example design work on mobile industrial equipment.

  • You have previous experience of 3D design tools and PLM software.

  • You have a basic technical knowledge of Loading & Hauling products, and related hydraulic, electric, powertrain components and machine mechanics.

  • You are able to develop trusted and collaborative relationships with our stakeholders in our international working environment.
