The Customer Assist Consultant role is there to provide great customer experiences by having meaningful conversations with our customers to assist with debt repayments and aid recovery through positive and supportive actions.

We sat down with our Customer Assist Manager, who let us know the following about the role:

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Engage with customers via Inbound and Outbound calls assisting with a variety of enquiries regarding arrears
  • Able to deal with and identify customers who might be in vulnerable circumstances
  • Recommendations for customers in relation to repayment solutions
  • Make effective decisions on key accounts
  • Meet banks and regulatory process and policy requirements

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

Ideally you'll have some Banking or Collections experience. It goes without saying that you'll enjoy working with people and get a buzz out of helping customers, and your ability to problem solve and find solutions to exceed our customers' expectations will hold you in good stead for this role!

  • Experience in previous customer contact/ service roles.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Providing great customer service to customers who may be experiencing high levels of stress.
